Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Departure – London Heathrow to Entebbe
Overnight flight to Uganda. (Flight details to be confirmed.)

Day 2: Arrival in Uganda – Transfer to Kampala
Meet your Msafiri Tours guide at Entebbe Airport and transfer to Kampala. Get your first taste of Uganda’s energy and charm before settling in at Eureka Place Hotel (comfortable 3-star, pool, Wi-Fi, AC).

Day 3: Kampala City & Cultural Experience
Enjoy a relaxed morning to recover from your journey. After lunch, join a guided city tour visiting:

  • Idi Amin’s torture chambers (optional)

  • Gaddafi Mosque

  • Bustling craft markets

In the evening, enjoy traditional Ugandan music, dance, and BBQ at the Ndere Cultural Centre. Overnight at Eureka Place Hotel.

Day 4: Kampala – Iganga via Jinja
Depart early, stopping for breakfast in Mabira Rainforest, then continue to Jinja for a quick visit to the Nile’s Owen Falls Dam. After lunch, proceed to Iganga. Check in at Mum Resort Hotel and relax by the pool.

Days 5–8: Volunteering in Busu Village (Iganga)
Spend four immersive days working alongside the community on selected volunteer projects:

  • Teaching in schools

  • Supporting women’s initiatives

  • Conservation and eco-projects

  • Sports coaching

  • Community construction/health programs

Packed lunches provided daily. Evenings free at the hotel for rest and reflection.

Day 9: Final Day in Busu – Return to Kampala

Day 10: Road Trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Journey westwards with scenic stops:

  • The Equator for photos

  • Lunch in Mbarara

  • Igongo Cultural Centre (Ankole culture stop)

Arrive at Simba Safari Lodge, near Queen Elizabeth National Park. Evening excursion to the Crater Lakes and salt mining sites before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Morning Game Drive: Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, Uganda kob, and more.

  • Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel: See hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife.
    Overnight at Simba Safari Lodge.

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth – Kampala
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala, passing through Maramagambo Forest. Lunch en route. Evening arrival at Eureka Place Hotel.

Day 13: Kampala – Entebbe Airport
Final day for transfers and last-minute shopping before your return flight.

Day 14: Arrival Home
