How we make this happen

Our impact plan aims to demonstrate that by controlling international travel through low impact, eco-friendly and sustainable tourism, conservation can be achievable whilst providing local Ugandan communities with a fair income and benefits. 

Our impact plan, along with all our treks, tours and activities that take place are prepared with our core beliefs in place:

  • Care of the environment
  • Respect wildlife
  • Embrace people and cultures

We find a balance between them so all involved benefit.

Our Sustainable Impact Plan

Care of the environment – to reduce our carbon footprint and to minimise the impact our activities have on the land, communities, forests, lakes and river systems.

Protect wildlife – to preserve all wildlife; insects, reptiles and mammals in the rainforest and rivers.

Preserve Ugandan culture & traditions – develop community-based tourism, support local traditions and trades, provide a place where local people can showcase their products.
