Safari Destinations

Tarangire National Park
  • Overview: Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park is part of the Northern Circuit and covers about 2,850 sq km. It was established as a national park in 1970 and is known for its large herds of elephants and rich wildlife.
  • Wildlife: You may encounter large herds of elephants, giraffes, tree-climbing pythons, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and gazelles. Other species include cheetahs, honey badgers, fringe-eared oryx, kudus, hartebeests, African wild dogs, zebras, wildebeests, waterbucks, dik-dik, and impalas.
  • Birds: The park is home to around 550 bird species, including the greater and lesser kudu, oryx, northern pied babbler, vulturine guineafowl, Rufous-tailed weaver, yellow-collared sunbird, white-bellied go-away bird, hornbills, bee-eaters, ashy starling, mouse birds, tiny-pygmy falcon, white pelicans, superb starlings, white-headed babblers, and hammerkops.
Serengeti National Park
  • Overview: Established in 1952, Serengeti National Park spans 14,763 sq km and is famous for its vast open grasslands and annual wildebeest migration.
  • Wildlife: Serengeti is home to over 70 mammal species, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos. Other wildlife includes dik-dik, oryx, greater kudu, hyenas, hippos, bushbuck, jackals, giraffes, elands, springhares, porcupines, warthogs, hyraxes, vervet monkeys, Colobus monkeys, patas monkeys, and mongooses.
  • Birds: The park boasts over 500 bird species, such as the Grey-Breasted spur fowl, Fischer’s lovebird, Rufous-tailed weaver, Usambiro barbet, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, Kori bustard, Red-capped robin-chat, Secretary bird, and Verreaux’s eagle.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
  • Overview: Located in the Eastern Great Rift Valley, Ngorongoro Conservation Area was established in 1959 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It features the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our professional guide from Msafiri Tours. Enjoy a scenic drive through Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes as you head to your hotel in Arusha. This city serves as your gateway to the safari adventure ahead. Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park – Evening Game Drive
