Please follow our Msafiri tours – Safari and tour payment options plus the terms and conditions outlined here below, for all Uganda tours, trips and safaris offered by Msafiri tours.

Payment options for Uganda safaris and tours: There are a variety of payment options available for booking our safaris and tours in Uganda. Whether you’re planning a wildlife adventure or a cultural experience, it’s important to find a payment method that is convenient and secure. Here are some of the payment options you can consider when booking your Uganda safari or tour. 

We require a deposit equal to 20% of the tour price to confirm bookings and the balance is payable 50 days before departure according to instructions from our Sales Office.

1. Credit card

We have a secure online facility for Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards. Clients using these cards will receive instructions with their Provisional Reservation Form.

Clients may transfer payment into our PayPal account – please contact our office for more info.
This is a good choice if you are using USD$ or GBP£ currency but not with other currencies.

3. International Bank Transfer

Please request our banking details plus Swift code & arrange payment via your bank.

4. Mobile Money Payment

You can pay for your reservation through Mobile money transfer which is a Uganda-owned and run mobile phone/ cell phone money transfer and payments system – please contact our office for more info.

CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL:
ACCEPTANCE

When making payment for a tour or safari, you are required to read and accept these Conditions of Travel. We will assume that once payment has been made you have done so.

CANCELLATIONS

For cancellations received more than 51 days before departure, a refund of 85% of the deposit is allowed.

  • Cancellations are received within 50 to 36 days before departure, and a refund of 50% of the deposit is allowed.
  • Cancellations are received within 35 days before departure, no refund is allowed.
  • Please take note that Msafiri Tours Ltd is in turn bound by the cancellation policies of our third-party suppliers such as S.A. National Parks that we would have prepaid for services.
  • There will be no refunds on unused services or meals during whilst tour.
NOTES

Your travel plans are made entirely at your own risk and Msafiri Tours Ltd will not accept responsibility for cancellations made for any reason including and not restricted to missed flights, problems with visas or travel documents, flight cancellations, delays, interruption of tours, lost baggage, transport or traffic delays, bad weather, illness or injury, family matters or bereavement, or for any other circumstances that may necessitate cancellation or amendments by you to your travel plans. This will also include any Government/s (ours and yours) imposed travel restrictions relating to the Covid19 Pandemic. Please ensure you purchase comprehensive travel insurance with adequate cancellation and curtailment cover for any eventuality.

You also agree that is understood by Msafiri tours Ltd and that upon payment of your deposit you have read, understood and accepted the Cancellation & other Conditions of Travel. This information is made available during the online payment process & supplied by our consultant when a Provisional Reservation is made.

REFUNDS/RETURNS POLICY

Should you for any reason need to cancel your purchase you must advise us in writing of your cancellation. Details will then be sent to our Accounts Department for assessment and arrangement for any refund due to you, the client.

PAYMENT OPTIONS AND PRICING

All transactions will be processed in Uganda shillings, United States Dollars, British pounds or Euros.
The cost of the safari tour will include a basic tour price plus conservation fees, levies & VAT. No further taxes are due by the client.
VAT cannot be claimed back on departure from Uganda.
Msafiri Tours Ltd reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior Notification.

DELAYS:

If passengers miss their pickup because of delayed flights or for other reasons, the cost to provide alternative transport and join their group will be at the passenger’s expense.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Msafiri tours Ltd. their employees and/or agents will take every care against such contingencies, they cannot be held responsible for any delays or interruption to safaris or missing of onward travel arrangements and shall be exempt from liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person and their property. This also applies to delays caused by extreme weather, natural disasters or protest action.

INSURANCE:

We strongly suggest you purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance with adequate cancellation coverage for any eventuality. This insurance must be arranged in your own country and we recommend you do so at the time you make your booking and pay the deposit. Msafiri Tours Ltd will not be held responsible if a Client does not have Comprehensive Travel Insurance.

WILD ANIMALS:

Although attacks by wild animals are rare, clients are reminded that many of the animals and reptiles they will see are potentially dangerous. Msafiri tours and their guides, contracted tour operators, selected private safari lodges and national parks cannot be held liable for any injuries caused during an incident involving the behaviour of wild animals

PASSPORTS / VISAS:

Please refer to the notes on Entry into Uganda https://www.msafiritoursandtravel.com/how-to-get-a-visa-for-uganda/ . It is your responsibility as a traveller to ensure you have the correct documents and visas so please check with your nearest Ugandan Embassy or consulate.

Failure to comply with visa and/or passport requirements may result in denied boarding by your Airline. Msafiri tours Ltd. is not responsible for any losses or inconvenience incurred as a result.

FAMILIES:

Children under the age of 18 years may be required to present additional documents to Immigration Officials when boarding flights to South Africa. Please check regulations with your nearest Uganda Embassy or Consulate according to your Nationality. Msafiri Tours Ltd is not responsible in the event of children being denied boarding flights.

ALTERATIONS TO TOURS:

The Company reserves the right to change the itinerary or accommodation should conditions necessitate such alteration. Transportation will be in an air-conditioned microbus, sedan, Sprinter or coach according to the number of passengers.

GAME DRIVES:

An open safari vehicle will be requested for most game drives when 4 or more adults are booked on a tour. Otherwise, 2 or 3 adults (or families with 2 adults + 2 young children) may have some game drives by microbus with opening windows. All passengers staying 2 nights inside a national park will be booked on a 3-hour sunset game drive conducted in the National Parks open safari vehicle.

HEALTH:

Anti-malaria precautions are recommended for visitors to Uganda all year round. These include protective clothing, insect repellent and medication. Clients are responsible for their vaccinations including yellow fever. PREGNANCY:

Female Clients who are pregnant should consult their doctor before travelling. Malaria medication is not recommended during pregnancy and other concerns are bumpy roads and unexpected stops for wildlife.

SPECIAL DIETS:

Please advise us if you require a special diet such as vegetarian, gluten-free or if you have food allergies. Kosher families need to discuss their requirements and Halaal food is only available at certain restaurants in Uganda.

BAGGAGE:

On small group safaris or tours, passengers are allowed one check-in bag (maximum 20 kgs) and one cabin bag (max 7 kgs) so kindly advise our office if you have excess baggage. Please be aware that there may not be porters to assist with baggage on arrival at your accommodation.

We request your permission to use any photos submitted to our office or Facebook page after you have travelled for subsequent marketing purposes of Wildlife Safaris.
