Depending on their location, the trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours, so be ready for an unforgettable experience!
Trek and Observation

Get ready for an exhilarating evening game drive across the expansive Savannah plains of Kasenyi. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic herds of buffalo, elephants, and antelopes. If luck is on your side, you might even catch a glimpse of some of the big cats, including lions and leopards. Return to your lodge for a restful overnight stay.

DAY 6: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a thrilling drive to the northern bank of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Kasenyi) in search of more incredible wildlife. Look out for elephants, buffalo, wild cats, various antelope species like waterbuck and Uganda kobs, as well as the charming Savannah birds.
Afternoon and Lunch
Next, journey to Fort Portal for a satisfying lunch. After enjoying your meal, continue on to Kibale National Park where you’ll check into your lodge.
Evening
Take the evening to relax, reflecting on the day’s adventures, followed by dinner and another peaceful night at your lodge.

DAY 7: Chimp Tracking in Kibale
Morning/Briefing: After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we set off to Kibale National Park Headquarters for an engaging briefing on the essential Dos and Don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. You’ll be grouped into small teams of six, each led by a knowledgeable guide as you journey into the forest to locate one of the fascinating chimpanzee families. These incredible primates thrive in communities ranging from 50 to 250 individuals but often break off into smaller groups throughout the day to minimize competition for food. As the sun sets, they reunite to build their cozy nests for the night.
Trekking and Observation: Once you’ve located the chimps, you get a precious hour to observe and immerse yourself in their world before returning to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch.
Afternoon: Post-lunch, it’s time to hit the trails again with a delightful wetland walk in nearby Bigodi Village. Kibale National Park is a treasure trove, boasting 13 species of primates and a plethora of vibrant birdlife waiting to be spotted!
Evening: After an exhilarating day, you’ll return to your hotel to unwind, savor a delicious dinner, and reflect on the day’s adventures as you prepare for a restful night.
